Pukaqucha (Quechua ''puka'' red, ''qucha'' lake,〔Teofilo Laime Acopa, Diccionario Bilingüe, Iskay simipi yuyay k'ancha, Quechua – Castellano, Castellano – Quechua〕 "red lake", hispanicized spelling ''Pucacocha'') is a lake in the Willkanuta mountain range in Peru. It is situated in the Cusco Region, Quispicanchi Province, Ocongate District. Pukaqucha lies between the lake Sinkrinaqucha in the north-west and the lake Warurumiqucha in the south-east.
